What learner profiles do
Each learner profile keeps its own folders, word lists, practice history, and progress. Multiple learners can share one iPhone or iPad without their 听写 lists and scores mixing together.
Add a learner
- Open Settings and tap “Learners”.
- Tap “Add learner”.
- Type a name and choose an avatar.
On the Profile tab, the icon on the learner card opens the same Learners screen.
You do not need a Ting Xie Mao account. Profiles live on your device, and optional iCloud sync keeps them updated across your devices.
How many learners can I add?
Up to five. When you already have five learners, the “Add learner” option disappears and the app reminds you: “You can keep up to 5 learners. Delete one to add another.” Deleting a learner frees a slot right away.
If you have more than five learners — for example, synced from a earlier version of the app before the limit existed — nothing is lost or hidden, but you cannot add new ones until you delete enough learners to bring the count below five. The app tells you how many to delete.
The limit is the same whether or not you subscribe — Ting Xie Mao Pro unlocks capturing worksheets and full study for everyone using the app, not per learner.
Switch learners
In the Learners screen, tap a learner to make them active. Each learner returns to their own Study screen, library, and progress.
Delete a learner
Deleting a learner permanently removes their folders, word lists, and learning history. To protect against a slip of the finger, the app asks you to type the learner’s name to confirm.
If iCloud sync is on, deleting a learner also removes them from your other synced devices.
Do learners sync across devices?
If you turn on iCloud sync in Settings, learners and their word lists stay in sync on devices signed into the same Apple ID. Your learning is not stored on our servers.
